Connect to Brocade switch thru console

I am trying to setup an EVA4400 with the embedded brocade switches. I think I fat fingered the ip address on one of the switches and now I cannot connect to it. How do I connect using the serial port from a laptop? I have connected the cable but not sure what s/w to use to connect to the switch? Have tried using EZswitch but it does not support this platform.

You can use any serial port communication program to connect to the console port. Try hyperterminal, putty or whatever you have.

Did this the cable come with the switches? All the switches I have are standalone (non embedded) and I have found out that only the cable that comes with the brocade switches works, any other standard serial cable does not. I have not tried any special serial cables though.

The serial ports on the HSV300-S are RJ45z and not DB9, you need the "MSA Cable" part number 259992-001, to connect to these ports.
