Connecting 2 fibre swtiches question

Hi all,
I am connecting fibre switches A and B.
Switch A is connected to HP MSA2312fc.
I have a host that is connected to switch B.
Question is, where do I configure soft zoning -on switch A or can I do this on switch B ?

This depends on the switch model and firmware version. With older versions it doesn't matter (for B-series switches).

You have to all the zoning on one switch and make sure the other one does not have any zoning info on it, otherwise they will not connect. Then when you connect the two switches, they will share the zoning info. If you did not clean one of the switches, they will SEGMENT, meaning, they are not connecting to each other.
