Connecting 4GB Brocade SAN Switch for c-Class to existing SAN2/16EL
Has anyone else connected a 4GB Brocade switch for the c-class bladesystem to an existing SAN2/16EL? We have an existing SAN2/16EL connected to our EVA and want to connect the Bladesystem to the SAN. Just wondering if connecting and creating the trunks causes any interruptions to the existing SAN2/16 switches and the hosts that are currently connected to the EVA? Any info of anyone else's experiences with this would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Connecting 4GB Brocade SAN Switch for c-Class to existing SAN2/16EL
There are many installations with 4Gb B-Series c-class switches and 2Gb B-Series standard switches. One is in our Labs.
It does not cause any interruptions!
The easiest is if you connect the c-class switch without any zoning applied and the domain ID set (must be different to the 2/16 one)
Also enabling trunking does not cause any interruptions.
Cheers
Peter
