Connecting a VA7410 to an IBM pSeries
Just wondering if anybody has experience of a VA7410 hosting data for an IBM pSeries. If so, do you know what versions of AIX are supported and what Fibre cards are required. Also would Secure Manager be required as we also plan to connect HPUX PA-RISC servers to the same VA7410.
I know this is an HP forum so people might not have knowledge of IBM equipment, but IBM don't have anything equivalent to this excelant knowledge base.

Re: Connecting a VA7410 to an IBM pSeries
Hi,
from the quickspecs:
"Support for industry-leading Operating System platforms including: Microsoft® Windows® NT®, Windows 2000
(Advanced Server), Datacenter, Windows.NET (when available), SUN Solaris, HP-UX, IBM-AIX, Linux and NetWare"
It will be more secure to use the secure manager, of course.
No idea about AIX details, sorry.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
