Connecting multiple disk array to server.
Our servers are connected to an EMC 8730 disk array thorugh a 3900 brocade switch and it is switched fabric. We need to connect another EMC CX400 array to the same SAN and some of the server would be connected to both the disk arrays (one hba to EMC 8730 and another one to CX400 array). Is it possible to do so? Are there any issues related to this?

Re: Connecting multiple disk array to server.
Is this a late April Fool's day joke?
You're asking people on an HP forum for help in getting your emc stuff attached to a brocade switch?
I'd say buy an EVA and move on to the good life, dude.

Re: Connecting multiple disk array to server.
Technically from the Brocade SAN switch standpoint, there is nothing to stop you from presenting (Zoning) multiple storage controllers to a server.
I have one VMS AlphaServer that see's 36 HSG's, and 4 EVA's on Brocade fabrics.

Re: Connecting multiple disk array to server.
Hi,
Yes. It is possible. There is no issue at all as you are going to add one more SAN storage Box CX400 to the switch Brocade 3900 already connected with EMC8730 Disk array.
You can configure two zones to accomplish your requirement. One zone with your CX400 and whatever the Server HBA's needs to connected to CX400 and the other with EMC 8730 and the server HBA's which access it.
