Continuous Access version?

Any idea how to tell the version of CA my EVA is running? SSSU Show System doesnt do it nor does a Capture Configuration. We are using RSM 1.2 but I need the CA verion.

Thanks

Re: Continuous Access version?

Whell, CA today is more a "concept" that any other thing. The original management software was called CA, now is RSM.

You should then, identify the RSM version and your VCX/XCS version and Command View version. Then match the information using the HP StorageWorks EVA software compatibility reference to ensure that you are in a supported configuration.

You should updte your RSM version to at least 2.0. SSSU depends of your command view version and controller software version.

Re: Continuous Access version?

As stated... CA (Continuous Access) is a functionality of the EVA, it is not software or firmware. The functionality is built into the EVA's firmware (VCS or XCS depending on your model of EVA), but there is no specific "version" number for CA.

The requirements for proper supported software in your environment is based on the VCS/XCS you are running on the EVA. Start there and make a plan to upgrade as it sounds like you have some older system(s) that need to be upgraded.
