Converting RAID5 to RAID1
On an EVA8000 (v5.110), is it possible to convert RAID5 to RAID1, (other than the plan below)?
The plan I have is to shut down SQL server, stop replicaton from EVA8k to EVA5k; then replicate back to EVA8k as RAID1.

Hi Gurdeep,
Good plan. It should work.
Best of luck.

Davis Paul.

Re: Converting RAID5 to RAID1
You can create mirrorclone from RAID5 to RAID1.
- on EVA create container RAID1
- mirrorclone RAID5 vdisk to RAID1 container
- stop application(s) on host
- unmount RAID5 vdisk from host
- break mirror on EVA
- mount RAID1 vdisk to host
- start application(s) on host
