Delay Write Failure MSA 1500
W2k3 storage servers clustered
When a user compacts a large Access Database which resides on the SAN they recieve a write delay failure
It only seems to happen with Access databases, we do not experiance any other issues with the SAN. I do not see a large amount of activity on the SAN either
Anyone have an idea what the problem is?
Thanks in advance

Re: Delay Write Failure MSA 1500
A couple of items,
What is the MSA FW ver.
Do you have SATA or SCSI?
Perhaps you could include a MSA cli >show tech_support output.
What is the event id of the error that is reporting the Delayed Write?

Re: Delay Write Failure MSA 1500
FW version is 2.36
SCSI drives
The event ID on the Client is ID 50
Source MRxSmb
{Delayed Write Failed} Windows was unable to save all the data for the file \Device\LanmanRedirector. The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere.
I will get the tech report for you
Thanks

Re: Delay Write Failure MSA 1500
That is not MSA1500 FW. The only thing remotely close is MSA1000 w/2.38FW. Or you have a MSA500.
