Delete zones NOT in effective config. <-- Brocade SAN Switch's
Hi,
I have many zones that have been taken out of the effective config. and now wish to delete then. I could do this 1 by 1, flicking through the java screen but I think this will be slow and potential stuff ups may occur. I was thinking of doing this vi CLI. Any way to list the Zones that are not in the effective config ?
Thanks

Re: Delete zones NOT in effective config. <-- Brocade SAN Switch's
Hi
You can output all zones with cfgshow and then mark zones that are not in effective configuration best way is to see in zones GUI on the configuration TAB (zones not in effective configuration are shown in bold on configuration TAB).
Then you can issue zonedelete through CLI and cfgsave in the end.
Regards

Thanks for the reply. That seems to be still a fairly manual method (sifting through the zones). But I will probably run with that.
Thanks again.
