Determine Windows MPIO version remotely
I have a lot of windows servers that are attached the to the EVAs in our environment. I am trying to come up with a way to determine the version of MPIO installed on the servers without having to log on to each server and go to the control panel.
The servers are a mix of windows 2000 and windows 2003. All are proliant hardware.
Does anyone know of a way to perform this check on about 50 different servers?

Re: Determine Windows MPIO version remotely
IMHO, MPIO is local to systems and not having a centralized database to query from a single location.
But i can check from symcli host (client s/w for EMC symmetrix) what are the power path versions on different hosts(at least works for UNIX hosts/clients) for a given array.

Re: Determine Windows MPIO version remotely
You could check the registry,
e.g. the remote server is "SMGT2":
C:\>reg query \\smgt2\HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{2244BE80-C7C9-4A5A-9AB5-22B0A72D28F8} /v DisplayName
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{2244BE80-C7C9-4A5A-9AB5-22B0A72D28F8}
DisplayName REG_SZ HP MPIO Full Featured DSM for EVA4x00/6x00/8x00 family of Disk Arrays v4.00.00
