Disk Array Errors In Syslog

Am showing these notices in syslog on a recurring basis...

Feb 11 00:10:05 ajc-hr syslog: CVSDM; DEVICE ADDED Event Code=198; Description=Device Added; ; Hardware Address=1/0/2/0/0.6.0;
Feb 11 00:11:05 ajc-hr syslog: CVSDM; DEVICE ADDED Event Code=198; Description=Device Added; ; Hardware Address=1/0/2/0/0.4.0;
Feb 11 00:31:11 ajc-hr syslog: CVSDM; DEVICE ADDED Event Code=198; Description=Device Added; ; Hardware Address=1/0/2/0/0.6.0;
Feb 11 00:32:11 ajc-hr syslog: CVSDM; DEVICE ADDED Event Code=198; Description=Device Added; ; Hardware Address=1/0/2/0/0.4.0;

Research indicates that there are duplicate entries in the /var/opt/sanmgr/commandview/server/data/DeviceDBFile which need to be removed.

My question is that when I execute the following commands will this have any impact on my users?

1. Edit the DeviceDBFile file...
2. Stop and start host agent..

/opt/sanmgr/commandview/client/sbin/HA_Dial_Stop
/opt/sanmgr/commandview/client/sbin/HA_Dial_Start

Also, can the file be edited using vi ?

Re: Disk Array Errors In Syslog

Thank you !.. I will schedule this as a non-impact activity. This is a production box so it won't happen until the weekend.

Warmest Regards :)
