I upgraded to VCS 4.004 without issues...
I can now connect from HP-UX without the need for SecurePath (due to Active/Active)..
There was an advisary about disk firmware updates with cvs4.004.
Looks like my 146GB 10K Disks (BD14658225 HP01) need no updates.
BUT.. The notes say that my 146GB 10K Disks (BD1465822C HP02) disks should go to HP03!?
I can not find anything above HP02 for this model.
I did find the drivefw_off_4004.sss file, but not sure what to do with it.. :S
Is this the "offiline" patch to apply??
The release notes say I can do an on-line firmware update one by one by ungrouping the disk from the disk group.. But, this file sure isn't the load file I need...
Any pointers would be most appriciated...
Thanx'
Khile

Re: Disk Firmware with vcs 4.004
We are at VCS 3.028... From what VCS did you upgrade from? I suppose you either have a EVA3K or 5K - right?
Also, how long did the upgrade take place? Any downtime and or backup/restore of data?
Thanks in advance for your response...

Re: Disk Firmware with vcs 4.004
I simply needed v4.004 to enable me to hook up to my HP-UX MCSG Cluster without the need for SecurePath.

Thanx'! I'll give this a try...
I'm curious where you found this puppy, as I searched internal sites as well... including Cybrary)
