Disk is Not adding to the disk Group in HPE EVA Storage.

Hello Team,

Good Day,

I am experiencing a problem with my EVA storage disk. Two of my storage disks have failed, and I have replaced both with new ones. The disks are showing as healthy, but the disk cannot be added to the disk group. The following message is displayed. Can anyone assist me? What can I do?

Troubleshooting Drive Grouping Issue on EVA

Hi Muhammad,

Please remove and reseat the drives, then restart the Command View EVA server. After that, attempt to group the drive again. If the issue persists, we will need to analyze the logs for further troubleshooting.

Thanks for your response. I have removed and reseated the drive, but the problem remains. We did not restart the Command View EVA server, will do it. Can you please share which logs you need to analyze for further troubleshooting? if we fail again we will share the required log.

Re: Troubleshooting Drive Grouping Issue on EVA

Hello @Karthik_Thulasi ,

Good day. I hope you are fine and safe. I restarted the Command View EVA server and tried adding the disk, but the problem remained. I have collected the required logs, but I do not see any attached option. Kindly tell us how to share the log.

Suggested to contact Support and log a ticket as it needs deeper analysis.

Re: Troubleshooting Drive Grouping Issue on EVA

Hi Muhammad,

Since the issue persists after reseating the drive and restarting the CV server, we need to review the captured EVA logs. Please open a new support ticket using the link below:

Additionally, we require a clear photo of the top label of both drives, showing the manufacturing details. Kindly attach these images to the support case to expedite resolution.
