Diskperf with Multipath, MSA500, W2K Adv Server
We have recently installed a DL380 Packaged Cluster attached to a MSA 500, using Multipath 2.0 and the high-availability gear.
Under W2K Device Manager, we no longer have a Disk Drives node. Additionally, and more importantly, we can no longer monitor disk performance under perfmon, even after running diskperf.
What is the preferred method for disk I/O monitoring with the Multipath software?

Re: Diskperf with Multipath, MSA500, W2K Adv Server
There is an issue with the code where the perfmon counters are not updated correctly, thus preventing monitoring of disk performance. At this time, there is no fix available. You would have to use a different disk monitor utility than perfmon (not sure what though) - maybe the disk counter info in Insight Manager might help.
Thanks,
Doug

Thanks for taking the time to respond. We were unable to find an acceptable alternative in Insight Manager. We're still looking for a solution.
