Downloading and reading EVA Event File

I am trying to download and print a log file for an EVA-5000, but get some file named "GetEventFileSC" that neither wordpad not the Event Log Viewer recognises. The on-line is next to useless. I am using commandview, not the Management Appliance "Status" option.

How do I read this file? Share and Enjoy! Ian

Re: Downloading and reading EVA Event File

Hi Ian,
You need something called "navigator" its an HP tool, not sure if its available to general public. But its what I use to look at the logs.
The files that you mention are the correct logs.

another useful tool to view eva events and configuration is SDC (support data collector). Your local HP CE should be able to deliver it to you.

Re: Downloading and reading EVA Event File

1. SSSU logs are ueful for understanding the config of the EVA
2. HP config collector tool is available at hp.com whcih helps collect config reports
3. As far as I see, HP navigator is not available for the public
If you are keen to win, you should be willing to lose.

Thanks all for feedback. I will have to run a report off from Openview for the messages I am looking for.
