Drive size limit on Windows 2000 Advanced Server?

What is the maximum size drive that can be presented as a mount point on a Windows 2000 Advanced Server. I have a drive with a current capacity of 1.25TB, and would like to add a 3TB mount point underneath it. Is this possible?

NTFS supports 256TB on a 64k cluster I believe so you will have no problem as long as your hardware can address this size volume.
(FAT32 is limited to 2TB so you should check what filesystem you are running)

Chad,

2TB is the limit in MS and also for the smart array controller. You can use apps like Virtual Replicator to create pools up to 24TB, however you are still limited to creating vdisks of 2TB for MS.

Ok. So can I create multiple 2TB mount points and place them all under a single drive letter?

Chad,

Review this link from MS regarding maximum volumes: http://tinyurl.com/6hx5m

2TB is the limit for basic and dynamic disks.
