EMC power path

Dear All,


I have read the one of the below feature of EMC power path so it will take care automatically or I have to some configeration to take a seond HBA .

automatic I/O path failure detection:

Power path provides automatic detection of failed I/O path. if the server loses a host bus adapter (HBA), a storage device, or a cable, for example,power path completes an I/O
request through another available chaanel thereby preventing application inteeruption
