Enable o disable DLS in MP router, CA environment?

I am implementing fc routing between 2 fabrics with 2 MP router (A7439A 16 port) in every side with 2 ISL to fabric. The installation takes CA with EVAs. I have disable trunking but I am with the doubt of disable DLS in the MP routers. Theoretically DLS permit ISL's dynamic configuration and therefore I think that it can send frames it was out of order. In the San design manual does not say anything of this parameter.
what is the corret, DLS enabled or disabled?
Thanks

DLS must be disable, because if you have a reconfiguration of ISL, trames will receve out of order. For you information, the ISL reconfiguration (DLS) take 650ms. Also, you can check aptpolicy because this functionnality dispatch IOs between each ISL and if your ISL have not the same lengh or somes buffers are full, your requests will received out of order. So check DLS (and disable it) and aptpolicy 1 (your switch must be disable before).

In the SAN Design Guide Nov07 http://www.p.com/go/sandesign

Table 129: 400 MP Router and MP Router Blade features and requirements
you will find the note:

Note: 400 MP Routers or 4/256 SAN Directors with MP Router Blade(s) installed used
for Continuous Access EVA, or XP Continuous Access must have the exchange-based
routing featured disabled. Use the aptpolicy 1 command to disable exchange-based
routing.

So yes you need to disable it!

Re: Enable o disable DLS in MP router, CA environment?

Hello.
In fabric├В┬┤s switches I have: aptpolicy=1.

In the MP routers XPath O.S. I Have:
-Exchange-based trunking in disable (in administrator guide specify only for FC/IP,but it is the only way of changing Exchange-based trunking.
-Iodset enable, enables in-order delivery.
-DLS in disable.

Is all correct?
