EVA 8400 max number of disks not divisible by 8
Hello,
We will soon be maxing out the capacity of our EVA 8400, that is 27 drive enclosures with 12 disks each for 324 total drives. I am wondering how other EVA 8400 owners have delt with this issue: do I follow best practice and leave out 4 disks or do I maximize storage capacity and create a disk group that does not contain a multiple of 8?
Thanks!

Re: EVA 8400 max number of disks not divisible by 8
Having a number of disks multiple of 8 is not so important. It's nice and usually leads to having all RSSs the same size, but than can change a lot as disks fail and are replaced.

Re: EVA 8400 max number of disks not divisible by 8
Hi,
in an EVA8400 the number of disk should be more than ( 8 disks ) not multiple of 8, so you can use 12 disk.
