EVA notifications
Hi,
I've ProLiant directly connected to EVA4000 with fibre channel. Wen I restart server I get ca. 70 e-mails in every 5 minutes informing me that: "Host Fibre Channel port transitioned to Link Down: FP1" One day I got ca. 5000 e-mail notifications about FP1. Only another restart of the server stops webes sending e-mails.
I can't login to the webes web interface because of non-standard port (I think). In webes user guide it,s 7906 and it doesn't work. I don't know how to find the correct one :-(
Do you have any idea how to solve this issue?
Regards
Tomek

Re: EVA notifications
Hi,
The EVA front port issues are very serious.
Albeit WEBES usualy sends the identical issue e.g. once an hour (newer versions) and 24 hours (older versions).
Here is the WEBES page:
http://www.compaq.com/support/svctools/webes/
try the Command line
WEBES service restart only in such cases)
net stop desta_service
stop vccproxy
net start desta_service

the pain is one part of the reality

Re: EVA notifications
I know this might be serious but (in my opinion) there's no need to send 70 e-mails in every 5 minutes :-)
I've already restarted desta and wccproxy, and I wonder what should I do to check if something has changed... I've ran WSEA TEST and everything seems to work fine. I'll have to wait till next server restart to ensure ;-)
