Eva SMA trouble
I've got an SMA running win2003 appliance edition. Recently, HP had to replace the main board on this box, a dl380 R4. Afterward, we had to set the serial number and product id in the bios setup so the machine would continue to run. The guy left and all was well...
The box started crashing. Nothing in the logs anywhere, no indicator at all why it went down, no blue screen just immediate and total failure. HP replaced one of the processors, now the box doesn't crash, but much of the software does with the "encountered a problem and needed to close" error. These are the products/modules failing:
Motive Chorus Command Line Interface
avcsvc.exe ( part of Motive )
Motive Chorus Daemon
HP Insight Diagnostics
Scanmaster Agent Driver
WCCProxy
DESTAService.exe
Microsoft Management Console
Any easy fixes out there ( like oh, main board replaced, you have to do ...this...), or am I in for a reformat and rebuild? The machine is used for nothing more than monitoring and adminstering an EVA 5000.
Thanks,
-klb
