eva vdisk extension presented to windows cluster
hi all
i have eva 6000 i want to extend a vdisk presented to windows cluster is the procedure the following
1)while the vdisk and all the cluster node are online extend the vdisk on the eva
2)in the active node of the cluster use diskpart to add the additional space
questions
1) am i wrong? did i miss anything?
2)should i take any of the cluster node offline?

first check if the operating system support volume extension. if you are using windows server 2003
1)extend the vdisk on the eva
2)then the extended space will appear as unallocated space directly after the volume that you want to extend in the disk manager
3)use diskpart to extend the volume.
you don't have to take any cluster node offline just do the work on the active node
