Try to reboot the system, or maybe controller 1 first and then controller 2 to see if the error sticks.
If yes, open a call with HP.

I guess the response was: "All of your Vdisk data is protected by __redundant disk drive__ storage." (emphasis mine)
It means that full RAID protection is in effect - it does not say anything about hardware redundancy like redundant controllers, redundant paths, ...
