EVA4400 failed vdisk
Hi,
I just want to ask if anybody here can help me to bring the vdisk online. i know EVA4400 is obsolete and EOL already but we are still used it in our office. i just need to recover the data on it and then decom after.
It has 1 diskgroup only with 9 disks and also 1 vdisk RAID5 max capacity of disk group with no protection level.
It happend that our AC failed and affected our EVA4400 storage with multiple parts failed including 1 cache battery and 2 disk drives.
All the parts were already replaced, cache battery in good condition and all other hardware except the disk group shows degraded and a failed vdisk.
Tried grouping the new disks but not successful "
Operation failed!
Initialization of the physical store or volume failed during the requested operation. Check the failed drives in the system. "
Tried to "Continue with no changes" on disk group but nothing happened.
Tried "Use Vdisk as-is" but also not successful "
Operation failed!
Disk group inoperative or disks in group less than minimum. "
I'm just thinking if there is a supplement to temporary disable these restrictions via serial console so that I can add the 2 ungroup disks to disk group and then repair the failed vdisk.
Or like the MSA2000/P2000 that we can temporay enable the failed vdisk by executing the "trust" command so we can backup the data as much as it can before it completely inaccessible.
Thank you so much for your feedback.
Rhodel
