EVA4400 forget to ungroup failed disk
My Customer has an EVA4400,
and it just has default Disk group,
one day,a disk failed,
but he did'nt use command view eva GUI to perform the disk ungroup,
just unplug the disk,and plug a new disk to the disk enclosure,
and than the disk group get some alarm,
How to fix this problem?

The current protection level is none, the requested level is single, because you probably have not enough space for that level. Did you replace the disk and group?

When he found the failure disk,
he replace the disk but forget to ungroup the failure disk from disk group!
Do you have any solution to help me?

IMHo the forgotten ungroup is not the issue. The array cannot copy the data from the failed drive, but need to rebuild from RAID information. Not an issue, but takes more time. This looks to me like an issue with free space (alarm is set to 100%!!!), maybe he replaced the failed disk with a larger disk???
