Re: EVA4400 forget to ungroup failed disk

The current protection level is none, the requested level is single, because you probably have not enough space for that level. Did you replace the disk and group?

Hope this helps!

Re: EVA4400 forget to ungroup failed disk

Hi Torsten:

When he found the failure disk,

he replace the disk but forget to ungroup the failure disk from disk group!

Do you have any solution to help me?

Thanks!

Re: EVA4400 forget to ungroup failed disk

IMHo the forgotten ungroup is not the issue. The array cannot copy the data from the failed drive, but need to rebuild from RAID information. Not an issue, but takes more time. This looks to me like an issue with free space (alarm is set to 100%!!!), maybe he replaced the failed disk with a larger disk???

Hope this helps!
