EVA4400 - re-seating disk and leveling
Hi
We recently had a reported disk failure on an EVA4400. I was initially intending to re-seat the disk to rectify the problem; but the system was “leveling”.
Could I have attempted to re-seat the disk while the EVA4400 is “leveling?”
Thanks

Re: EVA4400 - re-seating disk and leveling
Hi James,
Yes, you can re-seat a drive during leveling
Leveling is just moving data blocks from one drive to other
Virtual disk data redundancy is always maintained while the system is leveling a disk group, hence a drive can fail and get added without any issue.

Susanta
