EVA8400 adding the Expansion Rack

Hello,

I have EVA8400 2C18D and going to add new 9 enclosure to be 2C27D, as the Document sayas:

"Glass Fibre Channel Cables (not copper) between the EVA controller DP ports and drive enclosure I/O modules in the Main Rack and drive enclosure I/O modules in the Expansion Rack."

but what about the old copper connection between the  EVA controller DP ports and  enclosure I/O modules in the Main Rack do I need to repalce them from copper to fiber too, or no matter , copper or fiber is working??

Thanks for any idea may help.

Re: EVA8400 adding the Expansion Rack

No you should be ok using them, I think the limitation is due to signal degradation on FC over copper. Optical FC can use (much) longer runs, like connecting to a second cab. Hence Optical for the extension.
