EVA8400 EVAPerf log errors
Hi
I am consistently seeing errors in my EVAPerf logs for both my EVA8400's. I have questioned HP support prior and have been told this is nothing to worry about.
to put my mind at ease can someone please explain why these errors are occuring and if there is a way to minimise them.
The errors i am seeing are from the back end fibre ports and the fibre ports on the controllers. Eg: Loss of signal, bad RX char, loss of sync and link fail.
One EVA reports values such as the "bad rx char" at 65535 and loss of signal around ~500 for FP1-4 and the other reports link fail for DP-3B consistently at 6888.
Any insight on this would be great.
Cheers.

Re: EVA8400 EVAPerf log errors
Hi,
These values are cumulative, they get incremented with every new instance.
As long as it remains constant , it shows there is no further error seen.

Re: EVA8400 EVAPerf log errors
Thanks,
Is there a way to clear this information to clearly identify subsequent errors?

Re: EVA8400 EVAPerf log errors
