Extend VA7410

Hello,

currently my VA7410 contains only 36 GB disks. Now i want to add 500GB to the VA. Someone from HP told me that you can't mix disks of a VA. My intention was to add bigger disks , e.g. 72 GB or even bigger.
Does anybody know if it is possibel to mix disks.
If yes which disks can i use ?

Thanks in advance

Re: Extend VA7410

The user and service guide (A6183-96005) from January 2003 says you can do that.

- 18 GB 15K rpm
- 36 GB 10K rpm
- 36 GB 15K rpm
- 73 GB 10K rpm
- 73 GB 15K rpm (VA 7110 and VA 7410 only)
- 146 GB 10K rpm (VA 7110 and VA 7410 only)

Re: Extend VA7410

Hi,

VA7410 can support 105 disks, and a mix of all supported models.
72GB and 146GB 10K disks are supported.(146GB 15K is not supported).
