Finding correct drivers
Hi All,
I have two model of HBA:
Qlogic: QLE2462
(HP branded version I'm told is: FC1242SR)
Qlogic: QLA2342
The QLA2342 driver is on the MSA 1000 Support CD, but it's very old. The other isn't on the CD at all, so I'm going to download the latest from Qlogic. I'm concerned that I need special registry entries to tweak the vendor supplied versions to work properly with my MSA1000. Any assistance is appreciated!
Thanks
Mark

Re: Finding correct drivers
Forgot to mention, I plan to use STOR drivers and HP's MPIO if that matters. In conjunction with updating the drivers, I plan to update the controller firmware to 7.x A/A.
Thanks
Mark

Re: Finding correct drivers
Hi,
the MSA 7.XX AA firmware/qle2462/qla2342 compatible storport driver
version is 9.1.3.18, can be found here:
http://support.qlogic.com/support/oem_detail_all.asp?oemid=21
(you need a hotfix from Microsoft -
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932755/en-us)
too
They differ in the compatible BIOSes:
qle2462 BIOS 1.26
qla2342 BIOS 1.45
the firmware is loaded from the driver
and you need the multipath from here:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=421495&prodTypeId=18964&prodSeriesId=421492&swLang=13&taskId=135&swEnvOID=1005

the pain is one part of the reality
