Re: Finding the WWN of a HBA on Windows Server?
You could go in thru your brocade and find out what the WWN is.
You can also telnet in, do a portshow command of the port that the windows server is connected to.
> portshow 1 (this should tell you what the WWN of the client connected).
Another way is to look at the HBA physically and see what the WWN is from there as well.

Re: Finding the WWN of a HBA on Windows Server?
If you grab the proper hba utility, you can see what it is from the interface.
HBAnywhere for Emulex Cards. You might already hav a utility called lputilnt.exe on your system if you have an Emulex card.
SANSurfer for QLogic Cards.
The other ways mentioned already work also.
In general, you can look at the name server on the SAN switch.
You can reboot the box and go into the BIOS to see the WWID as well.

Re: Finding the WWN of a HBA on Windows Server?
I always telnet to the IP address of the SAN Switch, and do a "switchshow" command.
This will show you all ports, and the WWN with each port.
