HD server 4000 slow to read with windows 2000 client
My Win2K systems are taking a very very long time to open the \\share folder on the NAS 4000.
Other Windows systems, 95-98-NT, work fine.
Any one else been down this road?

Re: HD server 4000 slow to read with windows 2000 client
The first place to look when dealing with slow Win2k network performance is Security, in my experience. There's probably something set differently on win2k - it has added security features that the server might not support, and is probably just getting through a timeout before trying another method of authentication.
Good luck!
