How to expand an EVA Vdisk in NetWare NSS?

I am installing an EVA5000 at a customer site which runs NetWare 6.0.

Question: The customer and I created a Virtual Disk and set it up as a NSS volume in NetWare. What is the preferred method for expanding a Virtual Disk within NetWare? It looks like we wind up with multiple partitions on the (NSS) volume. Any known performance or management issues with that?
