Re: how to get detail info of FC controller
Those utils are great. Mucho info. But, how do I know that the part number for my PCI Tachyon card is A5158A? I know this only because one of my colleage mentioned it. tddiag does list the following in the swlist output:
12 A5158A B.11.00.10 PCI Tachyon TL/TS Fibre Channel
I assumed A5158A was the part number for the bundle.
Is there any other util that I can use to pull part number info from the Tachyon card?
Thanks,
Steve

You can use the following command to get the part number
#fcmsutil /dev/td0 vpd
example of the output
fcmsutil /dev/td0 vpd
V I T A L P R O D U C T D A T A
--------- ------------- -------
Product Discription :'A6795A 2Gbps/1Gbps Fibre Channel 4X PCI HBA'
Part number :'A6795-62001'
Engineering Date Code :'B-4322'
Part Serial number :'A56A00151392'
Misc. Information :'PW=15W'
Mfd. Date :'A-4302'
Check Sum : 0x5b

Note : Replace the /dev/td0 with correct device file. You can get the device files with
#ioscan -fnCfc
Hope This helps
