I would like to perform stacking between HP C7000 blade chassis with san switch I/O module with HP 8/24 San Switch. Currently both the san switch are connected with devices and there's no zoning done.
How to perform stacking between these San Switches? Is it as simple as connecting a fibre cable from the C7000 San Switch I/O module to the HP 8/24 San Switch?

SolutionHi
if you mean you have in the C7000 a brocade 8/24 switch and a brocade switch as a main switch
if you have no zoning configuration you can just connect a fibre link between the two switches.
you should change the domain ID of the switches so they will not be the same ( default is 1)
if you have zoning configuration only on one switch it is not a problem as this configuration will
be applied to the new switch. (zoning is for the whole fabric).
