HP 2312FC DC unable to boot up
Hi,
I'm using HP StorageWorks HP 2312FC DC with 7 HDDs.
I can't power up my storage. Once I switch it on, the fans will run a while and came to a total stop.
I'm suspecting both CPU to be down. Need guidance here to confirm fault.
And I would like to know:
1. If I just get 2 CPU units to replace, what are the thing required to do to restore everything back to normal.
i.e. Can I just slot back the new CPUs, console in to change the IPs and thats it? (Sorry I'm still inexperience in SAN)
2. It may be hard for me to find HP 2312FC DC CPUs parts now, anyone can suggest a replacement model which is compatible with the HDDs and can do a direct swap?
Appreciate guidance here... Urgent.

Re: MSA2000 unable to boot up
I didn't manage to backup the configurations before it went down.
Do let me know if required for information.
Really appreciate if someone can guide me on this. =)

Re: HP 2312FC DC unable to boot up
Try to boot with single CPU..
Try first with only controller A if same issue then try with only B

Re: HP 2312FC DC unable to boot up
Hi,
Thanks for the advise on component testing.
I did several component tests. And basically stripping everything and boot up with only the Chasis (PDU) wouldn't work.
The PDU's fan stopped just several seconds later. So i'm suspecting a PDU problem.
Not quite sure if 2312FC already EOL. Anyone knows?
And any recommendations for a compatible hardware upgrade of this model, which can accept its current set of HDD with minimal migration configurations required?
