HP04 firmware update EVA disk XCS 6110

Hi
I have some disk with firmware version HP04.
I was going to use offline firmware update but I saw some disks with firmware version HP04.
The part number for the disks drives are ND25058238 (250GB).

I know that have read somewhere that is recommended to ungroup the disks with firmware version HP04 if offline firmware is going to be done.

This apply to for disks with this part numbers?

Regards

Re: HP04 firmware update EVA disk XCS 6110

Hi, HP04 is the last firmware version for this model.
The firmware version is not the same for all models, each one passes through several revisions, starting with HP00. So one disk may be currently on HP01 and another on HP09.

Latest EVA firmware bundle:

XCS 6.110 lets you upgrade the disk firmware online.

Re: HP04 firmware update EVA disk XCS 6110

Hallo William,
I think I know, you have read the "read me first" of EVA upgrading disk drive firmware, there they have mentioned "do not attempt to upgrade ....." for HP04 disks. This only valid for part nummbers mentioned, 2 types of 36GB, 2 types of 72GB and 1 type of 146GB. So it does not valid for 250GB FATA disks.
