HSG element manager errors

Has anyone ever seen their element manager on their storage appliance logging critical errors of this type(?):

HSG element manager
"Failed to rescan HSGSubsystem"
"Communication with subsystem has gone down."

No SAN issues noted an controllers aren't generating errors. CLI is accessable from HSG element manager.

How did you resolve the problem? Restarting the element manager service perhaps?
