HSG80 cli error
Using VMS (7.2-2) with SAN (HSG80, v8.7F-1).
To connect to Hsg I use >set h/scsi $1$ggaxx
No problems here.
When I want to lookup or change things, the cli gives a lot of not requested informantion.
ex. SHOW THIS the cli displays all disks and at the end the requested information about the controller.
CLEAR CLI does not has any effect.

Re: HSG80 cli error
I am unable to reproduce your problem on V8.6F-8, V8.7F-0, or V8.7F-1. Hardware E08 or higher. Can you attach a log file of what you are seeing? Also, are you set for SCSI-2 mode or SCSI-3 mode?
Do you have this same problem if you use a direct connect serial cable into the console port, or use a remote-access method like ConsoleWorks, or Console Manager to connect?
When we used SET HOST/SCSI we used a $1$DGAxxx device, not the $1$GGAxxx device like you are using. One is using a DISK LUN, the other is using the command console LUN 0 with an ID of xx.
Both access ways stomp on the SAN appliance access if you have a SAN appliance monitoring your HSG.

Re: HSG80 cli error
Dear Mike,
Some additional information as you requested:
Correction: using V8.7F-0
To access the HSG80 through a DS20, I use terminal emulation: Reflection.
HSG80:settings= SCSI-3, both access (GGAxx or DGAxx)have the same (negative) effect.
When using the laptop with Powerterm to connect directly the consoleport on either of the controllers there is no problem.
Attached two examples.
Note:
There is no problem in a simelair environment, ES40 with 7.2-2, HSG80 with V8.7F-1. ( test / production)
Best Regards,
Harry
