HSG80 not managable very critical.

Hi,

I am not able to remotely manage HSG80 through HSG Element manager. We have 5 HSG80 managed through HSG Element manager, remaaning four HSg GUI are working properly.The INFRA16 GUI stopped working.Is there any way to make it work again.for eg If I tried rescan it says code2005, operation timed out.can some please help. I need to manage this HSG80.

I checked in logs this is the erro code it display:
6022 88011786 4 Failed to refresh HSGSubsystem.

hi,

i don't personally use element manager for my hsg80's but - as it's a web interface have you tried stopping/starting your browser, logout/login session, use different browser, has someone locally confirmed that the hsg80 at least looks ok (no error lights etc) and what uses it operating system wise ? are you able to use a diiferent tool such as storageworks command console or get remote access by terminal server to the console port on the hsg80 ?

I've never much cared for the Command View Element Manager as a tool for managing HSG80s. I'd reiterate Mark's comment to try to use another method such as a hardware connection to the console port or HSXTERM.
