there is a MS utility called "fcinfo.exe" that lives in c:\windows\system32.
It is not installed by default and can be downloaded from :-
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=73d7b879-55b2-4629-8734-b0698096d3b1&DisplayLang=en
The SANSurfer product is really for the QLOGIC cards I think (I'm not sure if it works with Emulex HBA's), but the fcinfo utility is supposed to work with both.
