Re: increase and decrease virtual disk size
As far as I know, HP-UX's LVM and Linux's LVM-1 cannot deal with PV size changes.

Re: increase and decrease virtual disk size
You cannot decrease the size of a virtual disk.

Re: increase and decrease virtual disk size
Don't increase the size of your LUN. It is not supported bij LVM
Just create an extra VDISK, add it to your volumegroup and extend your logical volumes

Re: increase and decrease virtual disk size
Don't increase/decrease the size of your original LUN!!!
Just create an extra VDISK and add it to your VolumeGroup and extend your logical volumes, extend your FS
Good Luck,

Re: increase and decrease virtual disk size
Here's a post of not so long ago about growing vdisk/lun as well as the filesystem on top... Cannot be done online though and evidently only IF you are not using LVM -- a filesystem on top of each disk block device i.e.:
/dev/dsk/cXtYdZ /filesystem vxfs

I have not tried it personally or if OnlineJFS will allow for an online expansion.

Re: increase and decrease virtual disk size
If you want to resize Vdisk size, copy data to another LUN.
And delete Vdisk and recreate. After recreate Vdisk copy data to
new vdisk.
Another method is made new Vdisk, and allocate it to you want Volume group.
