We must install four disk in the EVA3000 to be able to increase diskgroup already created. As would be the procedure for this?

Re: Install disk in the EVA3000

All depending on the addition policy.

If it's set to manual, you add the drives physically, and then in the CommandView EVA GUI, you add the drives to the desired disk group. Load leveling then takes place automatically.

If it's set to automatic, the drives are automatically added to the diskgroup with the lowest level of freespace. Load leveling also takes place automatically using this policy.

You can adjust these settings in CommandView EVA.

Re: Install disk in the EVA3000

Easy as that!
1. Install the drives physically. Don't hurry, wait 1 minute between inserting drives.
2. The drives will be formatted and added to the "ungrouped disks" pool.(see in Command View)
3. Now go to your disk group you want to increase and cklick on "add disks".
4. The size of your disk group has now increased.

After that you can either increase the size of excisting LUNs or add new LUNs.

Cheers
