Install OS to lun via NC370T
Hi, I'm hoping someone might be able to help me out:
I'm trying to use an NC370T in a DL380 G4 to boot from an iSCSI lun.
I have the iSCSI boot option ROM on the NC370T and can see it connect to the lun on my netapp filer at boot time, shown in the POST messages and confirmed on the filer itself.
I boot from Windows 2003 CD, and do an F6 install to allow me to add the drivers as detailed in the HP iSCSI boot for windows user guide. All appears well, but the installer fails to recognise the lun is there, giving the "setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer" message.
hpibootcfg -P gives the following:
TargetName=iqn.1992-08.com.netapp:sn.xxxxxxxx
InitiatorName=iqn.1991-05.com.microsoft:iscsi01
TargetIP=192.168.50.78
TargetPort=3260
InitiatorIP=192.168.50.51
InitiatorNetmask=255.255.255.0
InitiatorRoute=192.168.50.249
LAA=000000000000
VLAN=Disabled
LUN=0
ForceBoot=False
UseBIOSInterface=True
WindowsHBAMode=True
DataDigest=False
HeaderDigest=False
AuthMethod=None
As far as I can tell, this should be really to set up, but I'm rapidly running out of ideas - any help would be tremendously well received!
Thanks
Matt

Re: Install OS to lun via NC370T
Have you tried the latest drivers for the network card? We had a similar problem that went away when we applied the latest drivers.
Hope this helps
