When I try the connection check after configuring the CLX properties on a 64bit 2 node cluster(Dl585 storage server), the check failed with the following error: [WARNING] Could not obtain HPEVA_ConsistencySet instance names; ERROR:HTTP Error (401 Unauthorized).
The config did work on another 32bit cluster, with the same EVA's and MA's. Connection settings without SSL do not work also.
Thanxs, Martin

Solution
It seems that the username/password you're using is not correct. If you have another working cluster try copying over the file "clxsmiscfg" to the bin directory on the 64bit node. This file contains only the SMI-S information (hostnames and encrypted username/password pair) which should work on the 64bit cluster as well (because you wrote that the other cluster is on the same pair of EVAs).
What is the eventlog on the MAs saying? Are there any login error entries?
