We have HP P6000 CV 10.2 installed on a Windows Server 2008 R2 machine managing 3 storage systems. We would like to move to a Windows Server 2012 R2 with HP 6000 CV 10.3. I cannot seem to find any documentation or instructions about migrating to a new server.
So two questions:
1. Where can I find documentation about moving control of an EVA storage system to a new server?
2. Will changing the server that manages these systems take them offline?

SolutionThis is quite easy.
Install Command View and the patches on the new server.
Log on to Command View.
Now you find your P6000 (EVA) in "unmanaged systems", you can get control.
That's it.
Make sure the EVA firmware meets the requirements and don't forget to update the management modules of the EVAs. This should match the CV version on your server.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
