MPIO Basic 1.4 in Windows Server 2003 R2 cluster?

Hi,
I will install MSA1000 (FW version 4.48) for Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Ed. cluster (2 nodes of DL580 G4). The MSA1000 has 2 controllers and 2 SAN switches, whereas each server node has 2 HBA cards (FC1242).
The final target is to use it for SQL2005 cluster.

I have checked the compatibility list from HP web site and found that SecurePath 4.0c SP2-1 was mentioned as the only Multi Path Software. I am not sure if MPIO Basic version 1.4 can be used for this setup. Please advise.

Cheers,
Jan

Re: MPIO Basic 1.4 in Windows Server 2003 R2 cluster?

Hi Jan,

MSA1000 with Fw 4.48 is Active/Passive Configuration.

I had a quick check on MPIO versions and its supported.

Please refer to the read me link for MPIO Basic 1.40

Hi Prabhu,
Thanks for your reply. It is mentioned that it supports active/passive configuration, but I am just worried whether the MPIO supports MS Windows clustering (2003 R2).
