MSA 1000 2/3 Hub =? emulex 2101/2108 => CD ACU does not see MSA?
Have a dl380g4 with emulex 2101 hp branded hba that cannot see msa 1000 when we run the ACU from the cd ??? We have switched out msa controllers, verified controller firmware levels, swapped fiber cables, changed hba's, used multiple version of smartstart 7.4-7.55
etc.. I can CLI into the msa just fine, but are nervous about sending this box to customers who would prefer initial ACU access ? We have done every swap imaginable, including going to single port switches into brocade fabrics, and just cannot get the CD ACU method to work ?? Latest and greater firmware is on the msa controller. Any ideas ? Thanks..

The latest CD doesn't work correctly with 2101, LP952 cards. It's a linux driver issue with that HBA.
We are addressing the problem.

Or are you Booting SmartStart CD, I don't believe they load the load the HBA drivers.

Tried both. We started with the storage only versions, did the msa 7.55 and 7.56 versions with no luck. Then went to the smartstart versions, 7.4 etc.. Are you saying the smartstart versions do not have hba support in the acu at all ?

Here is an earlier ISO of MSA support CD. Download it from this ftp site.
ftp://bobbell:Dunkirk0@hprc.external.hp.com/
or: ftp://bobbell:Dunkirk0@192.170.19.100/
Let me know if it works for you.
