Hi again.
Good news. I sucessfully upgraded the firmware without too much of an issue. One of the enclosures had a little spat but a repeak of the firmware upgrade and it decided to comply.
I have had some side effects from the upgrade. SSP caused an issue. I probably should have turned that off before performing the firmware update. Afterward even though the machines could see the LUNs they couldn't connect to them. After switching SSP off, rebooting the servers and testing them with SSP off they worked. I then shut the servers down, turned SSP back on and started them again. All was pretty.
