MSA having write delay error.

Hi,

My server is having a complaining write delay error and the disk is a LUN presented from MSA1000. The firmware of MSA1000 is 4.48 Active/Passive and MPIO basic failover v1.2.

Recently i wanted to add a eva4400 to replace the MSA1000. And i wanted to connect up eva4400 and MSA1000 together so that i can migrate the data from the msa to eva.

After installing the mpio v3.01 for eva4400 on my server, my server keep complaining about write delay error.

Is the MPIO v3.01 for eva4400 compatible to MPIO basic failover v1.2?

hi,

when you say "connect up eva4400 and MSA1000 together" what do mean exactly by this ? how have you changed your old storage config to accommodate the eva4400.

The basic MPIO is not compatible with any other multipath software. You could upgrade the MSA1000 to active/active and install the MSA1000 A/A full featured MPIO.
